Scott Bestul recently posted an interesting blog on Field and Stream’s Whitetail 365 blog. Bestul had a reader write in that was wondering about the way deer respond to smelling human scent vs. their exposure to human scent. In other words does human scent impact deer in suburban or farmland areas where deer encounter human scent all the time?
The reader also wondered if deer can differentiate between human scents. Find out Bestul’s response to the questions here.
Login and let us know what your thoughts are. Do you think deer that are accustomed to human scent and noise are less likely to spook than a deer that is living in a wilder area?
Bestul still recommends hunters reduce their scent as much as possible. Check out these great scent elimination products by Code Blue.
